"I will not fail thee"

Read: Joshua 1

As the school year draws closer to an end, educators - being the planners that we are - often tend to begin thinking about what possibilities and challenges the upcoming summer and school year may bring. Sometimes, this means engaging in professional development opportunities, participating in curriculum planning, taking on a new course load, jumpstarting a new program, or even shifting to a new position or school or district. As the year ends, listen to Him. What is He showing you? What opportunities is God revealing to you?

If change is in store for you, pray about it. Embrace it. Remember God's counsel for Joshua: "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." Also remember His assurance: "...as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." Whatever the future holds for you, God has a plan, and He will see you through the challenges with blessings all along the way.

During times of change, seek Him and find your joy in every situation wherever you may be.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for leading us through the end of one school year to the beginning of another. We look forward, courageously, to new and exciting adventures ahead with you. Thank you for your comforting peace and security along life's journey. Please continue to guide us to serve in ways that bless our communities for your glory. We serve you and ask for these blessings in Christ's name. Amen.
